Very thin [I thought it was a "hammered coin" before I removed the dirt]. Weighs in at 2 gms and is 28 mm in diameter. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT IT MIGHT BE?

That's what I thought at first Tony. However, its very thin [like a hammered groat] and there's absolutely no trace of any missing centre fixing on the reverse. Could it have originally been fitted in a bezel with it's own back plate?
