I know what it is, and that it is made of pewter (thought the ratbag was silver when it came out!), but where was it worn or used? I would have thought pewter was not a strong metal to use for a buckle carrying weight? It cleaned up not much better than shown, which was minutes after it was dug.

Love finding buckles, unfortunately most of mine come out broken, thats a nice one Nev, and cracking picture too.
