Lead object weighs 7 1/2 oz is 15 mm thick and 45 mm round. Other lead items which resemble very thick spindle worls which appear to have square holes in them have been found in the same location. Can anyone help ID the object and give me an idea of the date.

Cheers.

I hope members will be able to ID because I would like to tell the land owner what all these lead items were used for. I cant upload the other objects yet due to problem with Windows.

I agree Gary with your comment about the image but its the best I can get the scanner to do at present. Just swopped from Windows to Ubuntu and still trying to get to grips with the different programme. I will probably take photo of the image and upload that along with the other leads found.

Not being rude why change your running system from windows to Ubuntu !!!!!!!!! (other systems are available) when you can take photo's, download, to desk top or lap top, cut out any problems and hey presto upload a clear cut picture.
