Hi jkxs,
I have never seen so many pits on an object of lead. Have you scratched it a bit in an inconspicuous place to see it's shiny lead?
It could be a weight of sorts, but you should weigh it, and give us dimensions.
Curious myself.

Ello coinwate, yep its shiny lead - just scraped & checked it, approx diameter is 26 mm Not got any small scales, but its heavier than a new 10 pence piece (G.B.) Cant understand why its got such good patina green to it - may be clad ...?
